Euro Stay Finder is committed to making its website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every traveller and property owner to be able to find, understand, and use our service, regardless of how they access the web.
Conformance status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA — the standard referenced by the European standard EN 301 549 and the European Accessibility Act. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
We assess our site on an ongoing basis. While we work to meet Level AA across the whole site, some areas may not yet fully conform (see “Known limitations” below).
Measures we take
To support accessibility, our site is built with:
- Semantic HTML with a single main landmark and a “Skip to main content” link.
- Full keyboard operability, with a clearly visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
- Text and interface colours chosen to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio (4.5:1 for body text).
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images, and accessible names for icon-only buttons.
- Form fields with associated labels or accessible names.
- A responsive layout that supports zoom and reflow on small screens.
- Respect for the “reduce motion” setting in your operating system or browser.
Compatibility
The site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari) and with assistive technologies such as screen readers and screen magnifiers. It may not work as well in older or unsupported browsers.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may have limitations. We are aware of, and working to improve:
- Embedded third-party content, such as interactive maps and availability calendars, whose accessibility we do not fully control.
- Listing content (photos and descriptions) supplied by property owners, which may not always include complete text alternatives.
